Elizabeth H. Rohan

Elizabeth H. Rohan is an Associate with the firm.

Elizabeth has experience in the areas of premises and general liability, auto, professional liability, construction defect and accident claims, products liability, insurance coverage and commercial litigation. Elizabeth previously worked at several well-known defense firms in Northern New Jersey. Following law school, she served as law clerk to the Hon. Ronald Ibarra, former chief judge of the Third Circuit Court of Hawaii on the Island of Hawaii. During the course of her career, Elizabeth has obtained countless summary judgment rulings and early dismissals on behalf of her clients. Elizabeth is committed to serving her clients with skill, care and professionalism. She understands the value of early case resolutions whenever possible. A former professional journalist, Elizabeth uses her persuasive writing skills to advocate for her clients, frequently with excellent results. A few examples of her successful results include summary judgment rulings in her clients’ favor in wrongful death cases, including a Hudson County electrocution case in which the Court held that the New Jersey Worker’s Compensation bar warranted a dismissal against the decedent’s employer and a Middlesex County premises liability in which the Court ruled that the New Jersey statute of repose barred the plaintiffs’ wrongful death claim against her property developer clients. She was admitted pro hac vice in Connecticut in a wrongful death construction accident case. She has arbitrated and mediated cases in the great majority of counties in the State of New Jersey.

Elizabeth has published professional articles with extremely positive feedback, including a 6/24/19 New Jersey Defense Association magazine article “Recent Developments in the Admissibility of Expert Testimony in New Jersey” and a 9/9/20 professional practice article in The Legal Intelligencer “From A Small Firm To A Big Firm: Some Lessons I’ve Learned From Both.”
